This site is dedicated to helping journalists and members of the RCMP access the information and news releases issued by Communication Officers, working in the various RCMP detachments and units throughout BC.
Getting Started
To use the site effectively you must become a member. Membership is free and can be accomplished by clicking on the Become a Member link located on the left navigation bar. Fill out the form as best you can and remember to write down your username and password that you choose.
Membership is usually given within 24-72 hours.
Once a Member
To gain access to the system you must login. Once you click on the Login link you will be prompted for a username and password.
Using the Site
To view the most current RCMP Press Releases you click on Today's News, located on the middle navigational bar. You may also view recent and archived news releases as well. A user may also search through the news releases by clicking on the Search News link. You may search by date, file #, detachment or keyword.
A user may also view upcoming events of the RCMP by clicking on the Notices and Events link on the left navigation bar.
You may also link to the British Columbia Crime Stoppers web site as well as the National RCMP web site and the Government of Canada web site. All of these web sites will open into a new window.
